![]() ![]() It is accountancy, of all things, that supplies a concise answer: "You must not add debits to credits." Money flowing out is a debit, money flowing in is a credit, and they always balance over a transaction. The fallacy arises in trying to add the $27 paid by the guests to the $2 kept by the bellhop to obtain $30, when in actuality, it is $25 that should be added to the $2 to correctly obtain the total amount spent of $27. So again, there is no contradiction here. Similarly, of the original $30 spent, $25 has been retained by the lodge proprietor, $3 has been returned to the guests, and $2 has been pocketed by the bellhop. So the relevant numbers to consider are the total amount spent and where it has gone, which are fully accounted for. Waitstaff and bartenders: 1520 percent of total. Of this, $25 has gone to the cost of the room, and $2 has been pocketed by the bellhop. Housekeeping: 12 per day of your visit, or as much as 5 per day. The guests have each paid $9 for a total of $27. ![]() Of course, no contradiction is actually taking place. So where has the remaining $1 from the initial $30 paid by the guests gone?! Before perusing further, the reader is encouraged to attempt to work out the resolution to this conundrum. Upon doing so, the guests have now each paid a total of $9 for the room, for a total of $27, and the bellboy has retained $2. Upon consideration of the fact that $5 will be problematic to split three ways, the bellboy decides to pocket $2 and return $1 each, or a total of $3, to the guests. As a result, he gives the bellboy the $5 that was overpaid, together with instructions to return it to the guests. However, after the guests have each paid $10 and gone to their room, the proprietor discovers that the correct rate should actually be $25. Im not the type of person to write reviews, but just wanted to let other people know so that they could avoid the catastrophe that happened to me.Three guests decide to stay the night at a lodge whose rate they are initially told is $30 per night. You could run the risk of being out of movers last minute. WORST COMPANY, DO NOT TRUST THEM TO BE THERE FOR YOUR MOVE. ![]() I was on a tight schedule and was moving cross country. I receive a call at 14:03 (3 minutes after scheduled moving time) that the other mover isn’t able to make it and couldn’t send a replacement and the one mover that was in front of my house couldn’t come back because they had other “arrangements.” They said the next scheduled appointment would be the next day in the afternoon. While one of the movers pulled up in front of my house, they stayed in their car for a few minutes then drove off. One of the movers even called me 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time to tell me they are on their way. Worst company ever! I had scheduled movers weeks in advance. Tread lightly if you’re using this company.ĭo NOT use this company. And as a worker here, remember that they don’t care about your well being and deem you as expendable, had a friend go missing and told my company I couldn’t make it to a job because I was going to go find him, and they tried to permanently suspend me because they “didn’t see my messages beforehand”. Lastly if you’re a customer, I would highly suggest making sure you don’t hire this place if your apartment is going anywhere outside of the city you are in. When you check into a fancy inn, the bellhop will take your suitcase up to your room for you. Only for them to finally call you back with no type of useful information. A bellhop is a person whose job involves carrying peoples luggage in a hotel. You’ll need help with something as a mover or a customer and will be on hold with someone for HOURS. On top of this the management and customer service is horrible. They have no regard for your items and if they do it’s situational. These are usually just young college students or people looking for a quick buck. As a worker of this company I can speak from experience that most of the people on the platform should not be handling your furniture. Never been more annoyed working for a company then this one. ![]()
